Attorney Lori Tallman has been practicing law for over 30 years and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Flint and Cooley Law School – cum laude. She worked for two other area law firms before opening her own firm in her hometown of Davison in 1999. Before attending law school, she earned an Associate’s Degree from Mott Community College as a Paralegal and worked for a preeminent estate planning and business law attorney in Genesee County. She also taught part-time in the Paralegal program at Baker College of Auburn Hills for fifteen years.
Attorney Tallman is a member of the Genesee County Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan. She has served as a Case Evaluator for over 25 years and has been involved with the Teen Jury Program as an Attorney Referee for the past ten years.
Attorney Tallman has a general practice which includes estate planning, probate and trust administration, real estate, business law, divorce, and civil litigation. She handles many other areas of law and legal issues as well. She practices in Circuit, District, Probate and Family Courts in Genesee, Lapeer, Shiawassee, Tuscola, Livingston and Saginaw Counties and throughout the State of Michigan.
Attorney Tallman is very involved in the community, including serving as Davison Township Trustee, Vice President of the Davison Educational Foundation, and having served as Past Chair of the Davison Community Fund, and served on the Board of Trustees for the Community Foundation of Greater Flint. She is a member of the Davison Area Chamber of Commerce and has been involved in the Miss Davison Scholarship Pageant in various capacities including Director, for the past 40 years.
Attorney Tallman (formerly Lori Button) was born and raised in Davison and graduated from Davison High School. She comes from a strong lineage of dedicated family in this area that have worked in and served the community. Her parents, Robert (and Sandi) Button and Beverly (Stephens) (and the late Richard) Clark, are both graduates of Davison High School and were both business owners in the community for many years. Robert was also a member of the Davison Rotary Club and Beverly was former President of the Davison Area Chamber of Commerce. Her grandfather was Minister of the First Baptist Church in Davison and her Grandmother was founder and the first Director of the Davison Historical Society and Museum. She is very proud to have a law firm located in her hometown and be able to provide quality and personalized legal services to her friends, neighbors, community, Genesee County and surrounding counties.
Lori and her children attended Davison Schools. She and her husband Terry Kendrick reside in Davison and together they have three children and one granddaughter.
