Covid has caused and continues to cause substantial backlogs and delays in our practice and in every aspect of the legal field and most other facets of life. This has caused substantial delays and also affects our ability to service our clients in the timely manner we were accustomed to. Courts continue to schedule many matters on a virtual basis via Zoom. We are happy to assist with your participation in that manner.

REMINDER: CELL PHONE USE RESTRICTED in Genesee County Circuit Court and District Court Buildings Effective May 1, 2020, members of the public will be able to use electronic devices in a courtroom or courthouse to access the internet and exchange email and texts. Devices must be silenced in the courtroom. The public cannot record court proceedings unless the judge gives permission. Recording or photographing a juror or potential juror is forbidden, and the public cannot record or photograph people in the courthouse without their consent. Judges can sanction violators of the new rule.
